Hank Jansen was born on October 20, 1930 in Baak, Netherlands and passed away at the Ponoka Hospital & Care Centre on December 21, 2019 at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Viola; his daughter Wendy (Steve) Leslie of Edmonton; his son Brian (Laurie) Jansen of Ponoka; and three grandchildren: Megan Leslie, James Jansen, and Lindsay Jansen. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. Hank was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, and five brothers. A Funeral Service was held at the Ponoka United Church at 1 pm on Monday, December 30, 2019 with the Interment following in the Columbarium at Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta or the Ponoka Hospital & Care Centre Auxiliary.
