Heribert was born in Leitmeritz, Czechoslovakia on March 14, 1931. Heribert made his way to Canada by boat as a young man in 1951. He then sent for his bride Maria to join him in Calgary where he worked for a concrete company. They had two daughters, Christina and Monika.
He packed up his family and moved to the Wolfville District where he built the family farm with nothing but a tiny garage to start from into a very successful dairy for many years. Here they added another daughter, Michaela. He was a hardworking and helpful man, a wonderful father and grandfather.
When no longer wanting to work so hard he and Maria would take many vacations to Costa Rica and Hawaii; but going to Germany was their favourite. After his wifes passing Heribert moved to Rimoka Lodge where the care and compassion he received helped him reside for three years.
Heribert is survived by two daughters, Monika Taylor and Michaela Rose; his sons-in- law Blaine Heidt, James Taylor, and Jim Rose; his grandchildren Amanda Young (Matthew), Matthew Heidt (Chelsie), Jamie Heidt (Jessie), Justin Taylor, and Victoria Rose; great-grandchildren Jayson, Taya, Nolan, Devon, Daxton, Aiden, Tristan, Dominic, Aubrey, and Grace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. He was predeceased by his wife Maria, daughter Christina, and grandson Jason. Heribert's family will celebrate his life at a private service and Heribert will be laid to rest beside his wife Maria at the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Rimoka Housing Foundation or Ponoka F.C.S.S..
