Howard Sherman



Howard Michael Sherman was born on February 14, 1938 in Ferintosh, Alberta and passed away on July 15, 2008 at the age of 70 years after a prolonged battle with illness that he fought with grace, humor and courage. He was predeceased by his parents Caroline and Mike and his brother Albert. Howard was raised on a farm and loved outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and walking. He moved to Ponoka in 1961 and graduated from psychiatric nursing at the Alberta Hospital in 1967. He worked at AHP for 34 years and was an excellent nurse who loved his job. He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife Marcia, children Sandra (Louis) Bruneau, James (Rose-Marie) Sherman, Kristie Sherman and Camille (Shawn) Macleod; grandchildren Roxanne (James) Crippen, Leanne, Alyssa, Kylene and Katrina Sherman, Chelsea and Justin Bruneau, Zoe and Georgia Macleod; great-grandson Liam Crippen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the First Baptist Church Ponoka with Pastor Don Miller presiding. Interment followed at the Central Valley Cemetery in Ferintosh.
