Iona Beatrice Foell passed away on January 20, 2009 after spending four years at Northcott Care Center. She would have been 92 years old on March 6, 2009. Iona is survived by one sister Emma Brand and one brother Lester Nelson (Betty), three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Danford Foell; daughter Helen Gardiner; granddaughter Corey Vegter; sisters Nettie Briggs and Mary Ives; and brothers Kenneth and Foster Nelson. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home with Reverend Lyn Lamers officiating followed by an Interment of Ashes at the Forest Home Cemetery.
