Barnes, John (Jack) Emerson
Jack Barnes was born on August 10, 1939 and passed away September 19, 2010 at Lacombe.
He put up a good fight against lung cancer. At the time of diagnosis he was given 4 months beating his odds and fought cancer for 22 months.
Jack is survived by his wife Gladys of 50 years 9 months and 12 days. A major accomplishment, they both were very proud of their 3 daughters Kimberly Marie Felt (Greg) and their children Dustin, Pamela and Tyson Felt; Deborah Ann (Dennis) Sorensen and their children Michael and Camille White (Cole) and their 2 daughters Kaylee and Brooke; Laurie Jean (Kevin) Connolly and their children Kayla-Jean (Riley) Kloss, Justin, Dallas and April Connolly; son John Earl Barnes and his 2 sons Carson and Terrance. Also close personal friend treated like a daughter and sister to all of us Bonnie (Tim) Ferrier and their children Zabrina, Whitney and Sheena of Saskatoon, Sk. He is also survived by 6 sisters and 1 brother.
He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Helen Barnes; brother Bill, Alfred and baby boy Barnes.
Funeral Service for the late John (Jack) Barnes will be held at the Canadian University College in Lacombe, Alberta on Thursday September 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with cremation to follow.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in Jack’s name to the Lacombe Palliative Care Suite or STARS.
