John David Johnson
December 20, 1952 - January 9, 2010
John David Johnson of Ponoka passed away on January 9, 2010 after a valiant battle with cancer. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Kim and son Chad. Also left to mourn are his sisters Beverly (Garry Zimmerman), Carolyn (James Robichaud), Cathryn (Steve Pfaff) and Elizabeth (Don Hutchison); nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Johnson and father Harry Jallop. John will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Mary Davenport, Wendy (Norm) Morris, Brenda (Murray) Wedin, Debbie Davenport, Judy (Derek) Vickery, Terry (Stella) Davenport, Betty Davenport, Raymond Davenport, Carolyn (Glen) Brown, Sheryl (Blair) Vold, Jimmy Davenport and numerous nieces and nephews. With John’s passing we are at a loss. He will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends, and also for his love of nature. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted in John’s name by the Town of Ponoka Trail Systems, 5102-48th Avenue, Ponoka, AB T4J 1P7. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate his life privately.
