On August 16, 2017 John Idris Jones (Shorty) of Ponoka passed away at the age of 90 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Jean; his children Danny (Candice), Debby (Duncan), Terry (Deb), Tammy (Dale), and Margo (Blaine); grandchildren Joel (Karrie), Becky (Rob), Brett, Caley (Travis), Zana (Mike), Jeff (Catherine), Trevor (Emily), Craig (Brenda), Brandon (Jamie), and Sean; and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Ponoka Stampede Stagecoach on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.. A private burial service will be held for the immediate family.
