Joseph Chogi was born on July 1, 1922 in Retlaw, Alberta and passed away on August 3, 2008 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his step-sons: Cyril LeBlanc, Wes (Elaine) Bruns and Vern Bruns; step-daughters Fran (Harold) Lamey and Vivian Sundset; 15 step-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Clara, four brothers and two sisters. A Celebration of Joseph’s life was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Peacock officiating. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka FCSS or to the Ponoka Home Care.
