December 27, 1935 - September 21, 2022
Ken was born at home December 27, 1935. He was the 12th out of 13 children.
He was predeceased by 6 brothers and 6 sisters making him the last of the old guard.
Ken is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dolores; 3 children: Dale (Janice), Norma (Roger), and Carol (Lee); 6 grandsons: (Dale's) Kent, Clay, Lee, (Norma's) Kurt, Brandon, and Brock; and 8 great-grandchildren: Kyler, Addilyn, Carter, Austin, Landon, MacKenzie, Hunter, and Harper.
Ken grew up on a farm in the Meadowbrook school district. He married Dolores Dick on October 29, 1956. They started their life together in Stettler where Ken worked on the pipeline, eventually settling in Ponoka where he first worked up North in the winters then went into construction until they started farming in 1967.
They lived at the Gee place for 33 years until retirement in 2000 when they moved to town as Ken said he was never going to use his brown envelope (pension cheque) on fence posts and staples. Once in town he helped Roger a lot running loader.
Dad loved playing softball, dancing, farming, all his animals and of course spending time with family and friends.
