Kenneth William Kraft, beloved husband of the late Anne Kraft of Calgary, passed away at AgeCare Midnapore on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 92 years.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his sister Marilyn (Wayne) McGarvey of Bashaw, and his children, Patricia Fithen of Okotoks, AB, Elizabeth (Bob) Stewart of Medicine Hat, AB and Karen Wadden of Calgary. He will also be missed by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and numerous other family and friends.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Gus and Elexis Kraft, his beloved wife Anne, son-in-law Glen Fithen and four siblings, George Kraft, Vern Kraft, Jewel Kraft and Carrie Kroening.
Ken was born and raised in Ponoka, AB area, met his wife Anne in Ponoka and married for 67 years. Together they moved to Edmonton to raise their three daughters.
He continued his long plumbing career with Lockerbie & Hole until retirement in 1985. He was a proud member of Local Union 488 for 66 years. He enjoyed their 5th wheel trailer and traveling to the States with it for winters after retirement. Ken and Anne also built a cottage together near Wetaskiwin, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Chapel, 1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
