Lawrence McClaflin



Lawrence McClaflin was born June 1, 1915. His kind heart, patience, hard work and simple farm living served him well. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Lawrence passed away in Wetaskiwin on February 9, 2016 at the age of 100 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Irene; son Wade (Kristiene) and grandsons Cam (Cooper, Jared & Parker), Daniel (Tricia, Lilya & Adam) and Nathan; son Gerald (Susan); son Clayton (Diane) and grandchildren Bryan (Amanda) and Cherisse (Adam); son Miles (Kim) and grandchildren Colton and Destyn); daughter Roxanne and grandchildren Elanta and Calab; son Lorne (Shirley) and grandchildren Zachary, Brandi-Lynn and Katelyn; daughter Twilla and grandchildren Tristen & Brenten; his brother Gordon (Doreen); as well as many other relatives. He was predeceased by his grandchildren Kirk & Lucas. A Funeral Service was held at the Church of the Open Bible in Ponoka at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 with the Interment Service following at the Dakota Cemetery.
