It is with profound sadness that the family of Lenora Lorette Carter (Sauve) announce her passing on March 8, 2022 at the age of 95 years. Devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, she shared her love of children, animals, and teaching with all who knew her.
Lenora was predeceased by husband Patrick Carter and granddaughter Tammy Carter. She leaves to mourn her three children and their families: son Steve Carter, grandson Trevor, and great- grandchildren Mark and Kaden; daughter Loretta Colleen Nicholson, her husband Ken, grandchildren Ryan and Scott, and great-grandchildren Jamie, Lucas, and Nils; son Laurie Carter, his wife Carol, grandchildren Shawn and Kimberly, her husband Casey, and grandchildren Julia, Ryley, and Zac. Beautiful memories of her will help comfort the hearts of all.
A Family Graveside service was held at the Forest Home Cemetery (Field of Honour), in Ponoka.

I often think that who first hold
A grandchild in their arms, must feel that hour
Is one of life's supreme moments: growing older
Is now forever robbed of half its power.
The threat of age has surely lost its sting:
For in their children's children they become
A part of life's perpetual blossoming.
And when their strength grows less, their senses numb
Beneath the frost of age, they realize
New life is growing, fed from their own veins,
The dreams they lost begin once more to rise
In fresh young lives. A newer vision reigns.
They know the stream of life flows strong and free
And feel a part of God's immortality
