Lieselotte Elfriede Benkel was born October 16, 1920 in Essen-Altenessen, Germany and passed away in Ponoka on December 1, 2008 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter and son-in-law, Elke and Erich Benkel, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all in Germany as well as nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Germany. She was predeceased by her husbands Alfred Paschke and Bruno Benkel as well as all of her siblings. At her request, there will be no funeral and her ashes will be sent back to her family in Germany.
