On January 21, 2009 Mr. Lloyd Long of Ponoka passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 70 years. Lloyd was born on May 14, 1938 in Lacombe to Alex and Myrt Long. Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife Evena; son Darryll; daughter Sandra Pritchard (Terry); grandchildren Catlin Wolfe-Long, Jenna Little (Jordan), Corey Pritchard and Kent Pritchard; great-grandson Ethan Little; sisters Gay Groves, Fay Stewart (Wayne) and Jane Zielie (Ken); as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents and twin sons at birth. A Funeral Service was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on January 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend David Schumacher officiating. Donations in Lloyd’s memory are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S.
