With great sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret Doran, our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.

Margaret was born to Donald and Margaret McLean at Spring Valley, Alberta on April 14, 1919. After attending Camrose Normal School, Margaret taught school in several places including Halfway-Grove in the north west corner of the county of Ponoka. While boarding with Ed and Edna Doran, she met and married Walter Doran. They farmed in the Chesterwold area where they raised their ten children.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Donald and Maggie McLean, her brother Johnny and his wife Margaret, her husband Walt and his nine brothers and sisters and their spouses. She was also predeceased by an infant son Robert, a daughter Christine, a grandson John Peterson, a son-in-law Michael Jobin and a grandson in-law Jeff Young.

Rest in peace. We love you Mom.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church. A reception will follow in the Link at Legacy Place. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Dakota Cemetery following the reception.
