Margaret Leighton

Margaret Leighton, eldest daughter of Duncan and Jean McLelland, passed away quietly on Thursday morning at the Ponoka Hospital & Care Centre. She was pre-deceased by her parents and brothers John and William. Left to cherish Margaret's memory are her husband of 53 years, Roy; her 4 children: Allen (Isabel), Jean (Barry), Don (Mary) and Lori (Dean); and her 5 grandchildren: Michelle, James, Gavin, Daniel and Owen. She is also survived by her 2 sisters Mary and Barbara and sister-in-law Romaine, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16th at St. Mary’s Anglican Church with the Interment Service following at 4:00 p.m. at the Dakota Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to any charity of your choice.
