With much sadness we announce the passing of Maria Skwiercz on Febru-ary 6, 2018.
Maria leaves in mourning her daughter Diane, son Mike (Monique); her grandchildren Michael (Crystal), Marc (Lori) and Mathew (Veronique); her great-grandchildren Skyler, Paige, Presleigh, Ella, Jame-setta, Jackson and Xander.
Maria's journey began in Poland where she was born and continued thru to Russia, South Africa and then to England where she was in the Air Force and met Alex Skwiercz who she was mar-ried to for 51 years.
They emigrated to Canada in 1952 and lived in Que-bec and Ontario until 2012 when Maria moved to Ponoka to live at Rimoka Lodge.
Maria's wicked sense of humor and lively spirit touched everyone she met at the lodge and she had many friends including her best friend Cliff.
A celebration of life will be held in her honour this Spring in Ottawa.
We all love her, miss her and will remember her.
