Marjorie passed away on February 1, 2023 at the well lived age of 93.
She was born on September 10, 1929. She was the first child of new Canadian immigrants Victor and Livina Verheire, who farmed in the Ferrybank District northwest of Ponoka.
Marjorie started her schooling at the Ferrybank school and completed her studies at the St. Joseph's Convent in Red Deer. She spent the rest of her life in Edmonton working at the General Hospital and Salvation Army.
Marjorie was always on the go. She loved her flower gardens and volunteered many hours at local greenhouses. She loved to dance, whether on a cruise ship or at a local dance hall, she stayed until the band left.
Marjorie is predeceased by her parents, brother George and sister Loraine Brayer.
