Mary Hunt was born on February 17, 1935 in Edson, Alberta and passed away on August 13, 2009 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 74 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Wayne (Brenda) of Ponoka, Debbie (Willie) Chu of Edmonton and Dan (Glenna) of Lebanon, Kentucky; grandchildren Scott, Jeff, Erin, Adam and Darby; sister Rose Gordy of Kamloops, brother Gerald (Brenda) Shantz of Wetaskiwin; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Vern, sister Kate Schimpf and brother-in-law John Gordy. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Paul Spate officiating. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
