Mary Olive Hinkley (nee Warren) passed away peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2020 in her Edmonton home. Mary was born in Blackfalds, Alberta on September 21st, 1930. She had 90 enjoyable and memorable trips around the sun; often in contact with her 8 siblings, 6 children, 16 grandkids, 19 great-children and many nephews and nieces.
She is predeceased by her parents Reg and Mary Warren; her partners Arleigh Hinkley and Leonard "Bud" Randolph; 6 of her 8 siblings, granddaughter Susan and great-granddaughter Kelly.
Mary grew up in Blackfalds and Calgary, raised her family in Ponoka and after retirement moved to Edmonton. In Ponoka she worked at Thirsk's Department Store and the Alberta Hospital - Ponoka.
Her passions were raising her children, reading, gardening, day trips exploring Alberta, contacting relatives and friends; adept at playing and winning at cards (esp. Spite and Malice), Scrabble and online Words With Friends; and attending all of the 50+ Warren family picnics.
She is survived by her brothers Don (Doreen) Warren (Calgary) and Bill Warren (Missisauga, On); sons Bruce (Janet) Hinkley (Wetaskiwin), Norman (Colleen) Hinkley (Ponoka), Stan (Jeri) Hinkley (Sun Prairie, Wisconsin); daughters Gail (John) Pawluik (Edmonton), Ann (Doug) Clark (Calgary), Lynn (Duane) Atkinson (Granum).
