Mona Taggart
On August 26, 2016 Mona Taggart slipped peacefully from this world into the arms of Jesus at the age of 96 years. She was born on September 8, 1919. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Lynn Houcher of Ponoka and Barbara Schantz of Calgary; grandchildren Tracey O’Hara (Sean) of Lebanon, Oregon, Cheryl Whyte (Greg) of Calgary, Dave Schantz (Tracy Foster) of Calgary, and Patricia Waites (Kevin) of Calgary; great-grandchildren Alyona, Tanya, Declan, Alexis, Kimberly, Megan, Emily, Nina, Desta, and Mikayla; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mona was predeceased by her husband Archie in 2006 as well as her brother Lewis Williams, her sisters Ceinwen Spelrem and Marion Rosengren, and her son-in-law Cyril Houcher. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016.
