Ojars “Olie” Briedis
On February 24th, 2011 Mr. Ojars “Olie” Briedis, formerly of Ponoka, passed away peacefully at 88 years of age. Ojars is lovingly remembered by his daughter Linda (Gordon) and his two grandchildren Amanda (Jason) and Daniel. He was predeceased by his wife, Ausma, and his younger brother, Gastons. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5501-54th Avenue, Ponoka with Reverend Dave Pettersen of Edmonton officiating. The Payne family would like to thank the staff at Lifestyle Options at Terra Losa in Edmonton for their care of Ojars over the past 4½ years. Also many thanks to the staff of Unit 7 West at the Misericordia Hospital for their kind consideration and support over the last two months.
