Onni Edward Leidenius
Onni Leidenius was born on November 10, 1931 in Ponoka to parents John and Senja Leidenius and passed away on December 8, 2009 in Red Deer at the age of 78 years. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 46 years Irene; sons Sheldon (Holliss), Kelvin (Tracy) and Brian (Sonya); grandchildren Daria and Shaye, Kiana, Sabree and Ty; his sisters Sylvia, Lily, Florence and Sadie; brothers Carl and Wes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Helen and brother Ty. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend David Schumacher presiding. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery. Donations in Onni’s memory are gratefully accepted to Ponoka Home Care, S.T.A.R.S., or any charity of your choice.
