Pat (Woodfin) Williams

July 7th, 1919 - July 6th, 2012

Our beloved mother, grandmother and best friend passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6th one day prior to her 93rd birthday. She will be fondly remembered as a kind and loving person who always thought of others first.

Born in Vegreville (nee Stroh) and moving to Stony Plain at an early age, she was the youngest of 6 children. Upon completing school she moved to Saskatoon where she met and later married Gerald Woodfin in 1944. To this union there were born three children: Larry, Donna and Brenda. Pat lived in Saskatoon raising her family until Gerald passed away in 1961.

In 1966, Pat married Ron Williams of Ponoka. She continued to reside in Ponoka, following Ron’s death in 1973, devoting her life to her children, grandchildren and friends.

She leaves to mourn her children and their families: Larry and Sandy Woodfin of Ponoka, Donna and Dale Camp of Falun and Brenda and Ralph Zilkie of Wetaskiwin; her step-children Don, Lorne and Ken Williams and their families; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and special friends Evelyn and Jim Dunham and Noreen Johnson.

Mom is finally at peace. She will always be remembered for the caring and kindness she gave to everyone. If desired, memorials can be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of individual choice. At her request there will be no funeral service and she will be interred at the Woodlawn Cemetery (Military Field of Honor) in Saskatoon.

The family would like to thank Dr. Halse for the care he provided to our mother for the past several years, as well as a very special thank you to the staff of the Ponoka General Hospital for the wonderful care provided to our mother.
