Mrs. Nellie Peters passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the age of 88 years. She is lovingly remembered by her son Ted Peters; her daughter Helma Stewart; her daughter Sandy (Greg) Gordon; grandchildren Ryan Braaksma (Danielle) and their children Brooklynn and Logan, Tanya Braaksma (Mario Ernest) and their daughter Hanna, Jenna Gordon and Tyrell Gordon; sister Ria van Tiem and brother Willy van Hulsen. She was predeceased by her husband Gerardus Peters, one brother, three sisters, and her parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Bunting for his years of care for mom and the nurses at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre for their excellent care for mom in her final days. To the nurses on the GOAL Unit: you are amazing, and mom loved you all. A Graveside Service was held at 4 pm. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Earlville-Rutherford Cemetery. A gathering followed at 4:45 pm. at the Nebraska Hall. Memorial Donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre Ladies Auxiliary.
