It is with great sorrow that the Stevens' family announce the passing of our beloved brother Robert Edward Stevens. Bob was born in Ft. St. John BC, April 23, 1960 the second oldest of 4 children born to Clifford and Pauline Stevens.
Bob was a bright child building meccano suspension bridges at the tender age of 4 and Heath electronic kits by 6 years of age. He made the love of electronics his career as a journeyman electronic technician working initially for Custom Electric for a few years then owned and operated his own electronic business in Ponoka and Arrowsmith Electronics and BC Supernet on Vancouver Island. There wasn't anything that Bob couldn't fix or build.
Bob was a friendly man with many lifelong companions. His closest friend being Darwin Black. Their friendship was more of a brotherhood. Darwin helped his brother to his final hours.
All were welcome at Bob's. He loved to play music and laugh. He was a very happy person, seeing humour in all things. All that knew him had many good laughs with Bob.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and his common-law wife Maureen Connors.
He is survived by his older brother Barry (Debbie), a sister Kelly (Eli), and a younger brother Vernon (Colleen), a step son Josh (Beth) and step daughter Ariel. Nephews, Dylan, Colin, Taylor, nieces Chelsey, Drianna, Tanis and Kailey.
A memorial service will be held in Bob's honour at a later date, if desired donations can be made to your local animal shelter.
