Bob passed away the evening of July 7 at his home after a battle with diabetes and kidney failure.
Bob was born in Cardston, Alberta to Floyd and Garda, the youngest of a family of nine, three boys and six girls.
Bob was well known around Ponoka and the county for his residential painting and sandblasting company. He owned Ponoka Paint and Wallpaper.
Bob was well liked by many people, always having time for family and friends while being active in the community.
Bob was predeceased by one brother Elroy and four sisters LaFaye, Audrey, Phyllis, and Irene, as well as his parents. He leaves behind his wife Kay; sister Gail Schellenberg of Calgary and her family; sister Mildred Workman of Hillspring and her family; brother Grant (Marion) Leavitt of Calgary and his family; his daughter Christine Leavitt of Squamish, British Columbia and her children Danielle of Red Deer and Maddison and Courtney, both of Squamish, and Robert (Samantha) Corbin of Ponoka; his daughter Julie Leavitt of Red Deer and her children Grayden and Sierra; his son Mike (Jessica) Leavitt of Ponoka and their children Caleb and Adalynn of Ponoka; step-son David (Treena) Frook and their children Chris and Scott of Lacombe; step-son Harvey (Stacey) Frook and their children Seth and Griffin of Ponoka; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Service will be held with a Graveside Service following at the Dakota Cemetery.
