Bob passed away peacefully at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Doreen (nee Twa) and his four sons: Tom (Colleen), Mike (Karen), Gord (Linda), and Jim (Lynn): and eight grandchildren Kelcie, Jordyn, Kenzie, Hayley, Lindsey, Carter, Jenna, and Meghan. He was born on May 3, 1936 in Twin Butte, Alberta. Bob and Doreen were married in September of 1958 in Drumheller, Alberta. He was employed in the energy sector, and the young family lived in Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, and Drayton Valley before settling in Ponoka in 1960. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, spending time with his grandchildren, and fishing when he had the chance. It could be said that Bob had a spirited opinion about most things; "Never a dull moment" as we say. A private family service was held to honour our husband, father, and grandfather, Bob.
