Robert Reed

Robert Reed was born on November 29, 1929 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Charles and Mary Reed. He grew up on a busy dairy farm and learned the value of hard work. He married his high school sweetheart Marcella Wilkins July 7, 1949 and they were totally devoted to each other and serving their God together for 67 years. After their wedding they moved to Three Hills, Alberta to attend Prairie Bible Institute. While there they had three children Gordon, Tim, and Ruth. They moved to Kentucky in 1953 to work at a children's home. While there they had two more daughters Tamara and Sharon. They moved back to Three Hills in 1957 and were on staff at Prairie Bible Institute for 20 years. They then moved to Gull Lake and the Ponoka area until the present time. Bob suffered a stroke three weeks to the day of Marcella's death and then following complications of pneumonia went to his heavenly home on August 24, 2016. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marcella, son Tim, parents Charles and Mary Reed, sisters Dorothy Reed, and Shirley Clickner. Bob is survived by: His son Gordon (Betty) and their son Don (Karen) and their children Tulston and Braxton; their son Tracy (Paddy) and their children Dakota and Shelby; son Chris (Deena) and their children Colter, Baret, and Hayden; their daughter Jolene (Kyle) Miller and their children AJ and Nichole. His son Tim's children - daughter Jenny (Adrian) Bright and their children Natalie, Matthew, and Daniel; son Charles; and daughter Sandy (Fillippo) Falcone and their children Miriam, Benjamin, and Ryan. His daughter Ruth (Doug) Sept, their son Ben (Rachel) and their children Mason, Arden, and Reed; their son Ryan (KaraLyn) and their children Molly, Henry, Tilly, and Hattie; their son Jeremy (Krista). His daughter Tamara (Frank) Roe and their daughter Kimberly (Will) Hill and their children Ethan, Alaina, Giana; their son James; their daughter Jessica (Ryan) Peachey; and their son Stanley (Amy). His daughter Sharon Gilchrist Reed (Tess) and foster children Chris and Zach. He is also survived by a sister Edith Hurlbert of Troy, Pennsylvania. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Open Bible on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Adventure In Missions.
