Robert John Turner peacefully passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre on January 12th at the age of 90 years.
He was born on the family farm East of Ponoka in 1932. He was the only child of John and Amy Turner. The family moved into town 10 years later even though they still maintained cattle in the East country. Robert spent his entire working years in the Ponoka community.
Robert leaves to mourn his faithful wife of 63 years, Erva; his 3 sons: Tim (Sheila), Todd (Kimberly), and Garth (Shelley); and 5 grandkids: Carlynne, Ashlan, Sophia, Ashley, and Ryan.
In Robert's last days, his wife Erva summed it up best, "Now there is a fellow who never did harm to anyone".
A Funeral Service was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. The Interment Service followed at Forest Home Cemetery.
