Roger McKinnon of Ponoka passed away suddenly in Edmonton on March 22, 2010 at the age of 49. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and best friend Sherry-Lee; his beloved children Quinton of Edmonton and Misty (Garrett) of Ponoka; his cherished grandchildren Jade, Mya and Drake; his mother Marilyn; sister Wendy (Darryl) Campbell of Ardrossan; brother Rod (Lisa) of Calgary; brother-in-law Scott (Ellen) Bell of Medicine Hat; sister-in-law Karen (Art) Flaws of Calgary; nieces Brandi, Erin and Jen; nephews Brendon, Travis and David; great-nephews Caden and Kash; best friends / adopted brothers Terry Kalawarny and Chris Perry; God-children Jase and Jerrin Maracle, Christian and Asia Perry; dearest friends Pat and Janice Maracle of Penhold, Gayle Kalawarny of Red Deer; his crew Delamae, Nicole, Pat, Bea, Neil, Francine and Robin; and numerous friends. He will be forever remembered for his love of family, the sparkle in his eyes, his great smile and sense of humor and the passion he had for life. At Roger’s request there will be no funeral service. Family and close friends will have a tribute to Roger’s life in June. Tributes in Roger’s name can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
