It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Ronald Cave, of Ponoka, AB, on March 11, 2022 at the age of 87 years.
Ron was born in Innisfail, and married Norma in Ponoka in 1958. He worked as a psychiatric nurse for 32 years, and retired in 1990. Ron and Norma spent 25 winters in Yuma, Arizona, Ron's "Home away from Home", where he became a social butterfly - partaking in karaoke, cribbage, shuffleboard - he loved Arizona.
Ron's other passions throughout his lifetime were flying, hunting and fishing, traveling - Panama, Greece, Mexico, and especially in his later years - his family above all else.
Predeceased by his daughter, Sharon, and his sister, Audrey, Ron is survived by his one and only of 63 years, Norma, his daughter Janet, grandchildren Nikita & Robert, and Kelsey & Erica and their boys, Jude and Oliver.
He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Shirley Simichak and Arlene (Gerry) Hoar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to express our gratitude for the excellent care he received in both Red Deer and Ponoka hospitals, as well as to our family and friends - for rides, beautiful flowers, calls, and memories shared over the past weeks. No service by request.
