Rosalie Ottilie “Rose” Besler was born on February 16, 1922 in Rolly View, Alberta and passed away on July 10, 2011 in Ponoka, Alberta at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her daughter Mildred Jabs of Leduc; grandchildren: Darnell (Edna) Jabs of Leduc, Darcy (Sherri) Jabs of Red Deer, Lori-Jean (Chris) Boucher of Calgary, and Bonnie (Peter) Kooistra of Penticton; great-grandchildren Ellen and Taylor Jabs, Alex and Mackenzie Jabs, Colton and Dawna Kooistra, Logan, Noah and Matthew Boucher; her daughter-in-law Linda Besler of Penticton; sisters Wanda Dille and Imgard (Frank) Brendal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ted, son Mel, son-in-law Dale Jabs, daughter-in-law Donna Besler, parents Julius and Ottilie Buss, brother Charlie Buss, sisters Bertha Soch and Lydia Mittelstadt, and step-mother Lydia Buss. A Funeral Service held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Forest Home Cemetery.
