Roy Hind was born on November 7, 1942 in Calgary, was raised in Sunset Prairie, British Columbia, and passed away in Ponoka on October 15, 2020 at the age of 77 years.
Roy is survived by his daughter Debilyn (John) Witvoet, grandson Jason (Shannon) and great-grandson Dawson, and grandson Jesse (Sarah) and great-grandchildren Emma and Tyson; daughter Juanita (Gordon) Warner and granddaughters Sarah and Mellissa; son Travis (Michelle) and grandson Taylor; daughter Aaron (Dave) Bolze and granddaughters Courtney (Jeremie) and Caitlyn; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Roy was predeceased by his parents Jesse and Caroline Hind; his wife Darlene in 2003; and his grandson Ryan in 2015.
Roy's passion in life was his family and his love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
"If I could live my life over again, I would love my wife even more and spend more time with my family."
A private service to celebrate Roy's life will be held. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka or the Ponoka and District Health Foundation (Palliative Care).
