Velma Hart
The family of Velma Hart of Ponoka, Alberta, is sad to announce her passing on October 19 at the age of 95 years.
Velma was predeceased by her husband Glen, her daughter-in-law Jayne, and her son-in-law, Ray.
A long-time teacher, volunteer pianist, and committed Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Velma leaves to mourn her children Elaine Saunders (Doug McClement), Doug Hart (Ina), Don Hart (Dorothy), Ray Hart (Linda), Warren Hart (Judy), and Lynne Schultz, their families, twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Velma is survived by a twin sister Olive, a sister Norine, and brother Gordon.
A funeral celebrating her life, will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 25 at the Ponoka United Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Ponoka Drop-In Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #66.
