On Friday, January 18, 2019 Vernon "Bud" Butterfield of Ponoka passed away at the age of 88 years. Bud is survived by his son Craig (Dee) and grandchildren Chance (Kenda) and Brook (Jason); his daughter Margo (Lee), grandsons Byron and Ross (Raelle) and great-grandchildren Lucas and Rhys; his son Joe; his brother Brian (Verna); and sisters Joy Pritchard and Carol Anderson. Bud was predeceased by his wife Beatrice Olive, daughter Vicki Layne and brother Thomas Warren. A Private Family Graveside Service is being held at the Forest Home Cemetery on Saturday, January 26, 2019 and a Celebration of Bud's Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S. or the Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy Benevolent Foundation.
