HOLT, Vernon
1928 - 2009
Vernon Stanley Holt was born
on June 18, 1928 in Prince
Albert, Saskatchewan and
passed away on August 14,
2009 in Ponoka, Alberta at the
age of 81 years. He will be
sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by his daughters
and grandchildren: Laverne (Willie) Klimec of Ponoka and
their children Amanda and Matthew, Leanne (Ken)
Stebner of Ponoka and their children Carter, Josh and
Erin, and Lorna (Darin) Malmberg of Carseland and their
children Kaylynn and Shayla. He is also survived by the
mother of his daughters Doreen Holt of Ponoka; his
brothers Cliff of Gwynne and Collin of Warner; sisters-in-
law NeWana of Cardston, Elaine of Edmonton and Ruby
of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He
was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Lillian Holt,
brothers Earl, Glen, Doug, Clare and Maurie. A Funeral
Service was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on
Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Interment
followed in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial
donations are gratefully accepted to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation of Alberta or to a charity of your choice.
