Victor Schierman of Bashaw, Alberta passed away peacefully on June 15, 2012 at the age of 97 years. He was a proud man with values of yester-year. One of his very proudest accomplishments in his life was with his wife Fay with the raising of “Great Northern”, 1969 International Grand Champion Bull. Victor had stories for all to hear and listen to and told them how they were.

Some of his pass time was spent going to auctions and gardening, to be out with the people and the land. When you would see Victor you always saw his loyal sidekick Scooby riding shotgun. Victor took great pride in his family and especially adored his Great Grandsons.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Leslie (Peter) Wetsch of Bashaw; two grandchildren Jeremy (Jolene) Wetsch of Lloydminster, Stacey (Mac) Lecerf of Olds; three great-grandchildren Corbin Wetsch, Kade and Luke Lecerf. Victor was predeceased by his wife Fay in 2003, five sisters and three brothers.

A private graveside service will be held in the Bashaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Bashaw Cemetery Fund or the charity of one's choice.
