July 1, 1923 - July 4, 2021
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill Vold - much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Bill was born at home in the Asker area to parents Anton "Tony" Sr. and Edith — oldest of 4 boys and a "little sister". At a very young age he proved that he was a very responsible and hard-working individual.
Rodeo, hockey and baseball filled his time but then he met and married a sweet young gal named Lucille Trace, so farming became a priority! As the family grew Bill's life changed as well as his interests.
He was so very proud of each and every one of the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids right to his dying day.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Lucille (neé Trace); children Heather Kroening (Jim), Lawrence (Ronda), and Judy Guenette (Jan); grandchildren Lanna (Dorian), Shane (Sheri), Travis (Dawn), Angie Mueller (Colin), Jake (Sara), and Rode' (Amanda) Vold, and Jaylene (Scott) and Layne (Taylor) Ramsey; 11 great grandchildren; his sister Virginia; brother Tony (Emma); sisters-in-law Carmen and Rhoda Vold, and Audrey Lucas; brothers-in-law Francis (Mary), Harvey (Esther), and Donald (Lynn) Trace; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Anton "Tony" Sr. and Edith; brothers Leslie and Everett; an infant son; parents-in-law Lorne and Flossie Trace; and brother-in-law Russel Mullaka.
The Interment Service was held on Monday, July 12 at 11 am at the Asker Cemetery and the Memorial Service was held later that day at 3:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ponoka. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S., Rimoka Housing Foundation, Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society, or a charity of your choice.
