As spring breathes new life into Alberta, the provincial government has been equally busy sowing the seeds of transformation. The Spring 2025 legislative session wrapped up with a flurry of activity, delivering a robust suite of legislation aimed at tackling today’s challenges while building a brighter tomorrow.

At the heart of this session was a clear message: Alberta is forging its own path with made-in-Alberta solutions. From easing the burden of rising living costs to strengthening democratic institutions and modernizing healthcare, the government’s agenda was both ambitious and action-oriented.

Budget 2025 emerged as a cornerstone of this session, introducing a tax cut that could save families up to $1,500 annually. This move is part of a broader strategy to help Albertans thrive in a rapidly changing world.

This session, Alberta’s government passed 19 bills. In addition to the work in the assembly, this session saw the government advocate fiercely for a strong and sovereign Alberta within a united Canada, build and strengthen relationships with trade partners, and defend Alberta’s economy and Albertan jobs.

This session also saw a focus on innovation and modernization. From biogas industry support in the Agricultural Operation Practices Amendment Act to streamlined governance in the Professional Governance Act, Alberta is positioning itself as a leader in economic resilience and regulatory clarity.

As the province looks ahead, the Spring 2025 session will be remembered not just for the quantity of legislation passed, but for the quality of vision it represents — a vision rooted in compassion, strength, and a steadfast belief in Alberta’s potential.
