Below - a poem
Poems help touch feelings and thoughts,
like ointment for a wound,
or light in darkness.
Clarity emerges or a restfulness occurs that spurs life to continue for a minute,
an hour
or a day,
an affirmation of sorts that living is possible,
beyond steep mountains
or ravines to cross,
when personal vision becomes obscured or limited,
and when energy ebbs.
It’s a waking call for the slumberer,
a vision for the despairing
and a song for the faint of heart,
and a refreshment in the noonday sun.
