Dear editor,
Just a line concerning an observation I made this Saturday.
I found it exceedingly cool that neighbours were having back yard parties. The pleasant part for me were the sounds of speech and laughter within my hearing. No harsh words, no raised voices, just conversations — muted and friendly-sounding, like they were enjoying the company they were entertaining. It’s been a long time since I have been so aware of this pleasure. And pleasant it was.
I do have nice Ponokians for neighbours.
