Referendum unnecessary with election promise

Letter Re: MP Blaine Calkins’s newsletter in last week's edition of Ponoka News.

Dear Editor,

Re: MP Blaine Calkins’s newsletter.

Canadians elected the Liberal government based on (among other things) their campaign promise to “make every vote count.” A referendum to decide whether or not they should keep that promise is not necessary. We should be so lucky if all politicians kept their promises.

Sincerely,
