Dear Editor:
I thought we were getting tough on drunk drivers, so someone please tell me why a 35-year-old woman with an 11-year-old child in the car, who tested .11 and .09 blood/alcohol level, walks away with a 24-hour suspension and not an impaired driving charge.
So much for new and tougher laws. They don’t work if they are not enforced. What a waste of time and money (our money) by our government to make laws if the ground forces don’t do their jobs.
