Christina Komives (She/Her)
Regional Publisher
I attended Lethbridge College where I received a Diploma in Mass Communications and I have been with Black Press Media since 2005. I have had the opportunity to experience many wonderful things in my career so far and one of my favorites is being able to become a part of the communities I am involved with. I love meeting new people and creating lasting relationships with the individuals and organizations I work with. I live on a small hobby farm with my husband and son in Central Alberta.

Emily Jaycox (She/Her)
I’m Emily Jaycox, the editor of Ponoka News and the Bashaw Star. I’ve lived in Ponoka since 2015 and have over seven years of experience working as a journalist in central Alberta communities. I want to tell your story and give a voice to issues that matter in your community.

Karen Douglass (She/Her)
Multimedia Marketing Specialist
Hi, my name is Karen Douglass. I have been with Black Press Media for 15 years as Multimedia Sales Consultant for the Ponoka News and the Bashaw Star. I like to be able to suggest and solve my client's advertising needs with the most effective media that suits their business. I have lived across Canada, from the Yukon to Labrador, and many places in between. Experiencing the many differences, and sameness, of Canada has allowed me to listen, learn and offer my clients solutions that they may not have considered.
