NOW: Fire crews wrap up clean up of garage fire

Vintage vehicle destroyed

Fire crews were just finishing up their clean up at about 6 p.m. on Aug. 10 after extinguishing a fire on a property on 48 Ave., just off of Hwy. 53.

The Ponoka County Regional Fire Services - East District Department, as well as the Ponoka RCMP, responded to the scene.

The burned-out structure appeared to be a garage or shed, with two vehicles inside: an Imperial Chrysler and an older model Ford truck.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

More details will be published as they become available.
