Annual fundraising event beats totals from past 10 years

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ponoka’s Harry Potter-themed Bowl for Kids Sake on March 6 was a ‘whomping’ success, bringing in a total of $24, 240.50, more than the event has raised in over 10 years.

The first place team for pledge collection was Ponoka Fish and Game. In second place was Rowland Parker and Associates.

The individual with the most pledges collected was Linda Davies. In second place was Sara-Lee Dennis.

The family that collected the most pledges was the Reguly family.

The best costume award has been narrowed down to two finalists, the teams from Crawford Agencies and Boston Pizza, and is being decided by a Facebook vote.

Vote online until March 12, at 3 p.m. on the Ponoka Youth Centre - BGC and BBBS Facebook page.
