PHOTOS: Ponoka hosts Battle River High School Rodeo

The District Two Battle River High School Rodeo was held at the Ponoka Stampede Grounds on Sept. 11 and 12.

Spur Cottingham came in first place in the bareback with 10 points. One point behind for second place was Rhett Tattrie.

Charlee Edge was first in the barrels, followed by Mercedes Kennedy. Tegan Poitras of Ponoka finished third.

In the breakaway, Kendal Pierson was first and Madison Levangie was second.

Beau Gardner came in first place in the bull riding, followed by Brandon Howard.

Ashlee Keith and Harleigh Henderson tied for first place in the goat tying event.

Edge again took another first place finish in the poles, with Kasidy Skjonsberg one point behind for second place.

Colten Powell placed first in the saddle bronc, followed by Briley Scott in second place.

In the steer wrestling, Rees Wilson placed first and Owen Schauer was second.

Clay McNichol and Denim Ross came in first place in the team roping, with Levi Schmidt and Coy Skocdopole in second.

Jace McKean was first in the tie down roping, followed by Walker Warkentin in second.
