A fierce storm hit Ponoka on Saturday, July 16, with large hail causing significant damage to property and heavy rain flooding downtown streets. Strong winds felled several trees around town. Some residents were without internet for a period of time. Town of Ponoka crews were busy clearing up the mess on Monday, July 18.
