VIDEO: Tim Hus performs at Ponoka long-term care facilities

Direct Energy pop-up concerts hope to raise spirits

Two Ponoka senior housing communities were selected to be part of Direct Energy’s pop-up concert series on May 28: Ponoka Seasons and Northcott Care Centre.

Direct Energy is hosting mini-concerts, featuring the country crooning of Calgary artist Tim Hus, at long-term care facilities across Alberta in an effort to raise the spirits of residents and staff as they deal with isolation and measures associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The concerts took place in front of the buildings and social distancing and other measures, such as wearing masks, were observed.
